In Quest of Love

Stay yet A While
(a man in the graveyard with his lady love in had, he says 'stay yet a while my dear.......)

Stay yet a while,
Speak to me once again,,
Kiss me so long , But as a kiss may last.
That kiss shall make all thoughts survive,
Like food for our sweet memory kept alive.

Stay back and speak again and again to my heart.
Stay yet a while, Stay yet a While …. …. ….

Ask me to Stay yet a While
(the wishpers from the souls .....)

(he says)
As far art thou, my lass,
So deep in luve am I,

(her soul says)
And I will luve thee my dear,
Till the seas gang dry.
And the rocks melt by the sun!
While the sands o’life shall run.

And fare thee wheel, my luve,
Till you ask me to Stay yet a While,

And I will come again, my dear,
Tho’ it were ten thousand miles!

I Did Not
(he remembers his younger days when they started living together....)

Twas a new feeling – something more
Than we had dared to own before,
Which then we hit not;
We saw it in each other’s eye,
And wished, it every half-breathed sigh,
To speak, but did not.

You felt my lips’ impassioned touch ---
Twas the first time we dared so much,
And yet you chide not’
But whispered o’er my burning brow,
“Oh, do you doubt, I love you now?”
“Oh, Sweet Soul ! I did not” I did not........(doubt)

Good Night My Love!
(lingering in his yester year memories, he goes to bed to meet her in dreams....... and he dies)

As I am saying good night at the end of the day,
And you are not here, but many miles away,
My heart is so empty and so
lonely inside,
As I wipe away a tear I am trying to hide.

I close my eyes and try to go to sleep,
But with the sadness inside I begin to weep.
Suddenly I remember what you once said to me,
Just meet me in the stars, waiting for you I will be.

When distance tends to keep us apart,
Remember I still hold you near in my heart.
When the night together, can't be ours,
Just close your eyes and meet me in the stars.

Remembering those words, I begin to smile,
And gently close my eyes, lessening the miles.
I can see the stars, oh how beautifully arranged,
But you are not there, no hug to exchange.

I sit alone waiting, with hope in my heart,
No longer wanting to be kept apart.
Suddenly in the distance, a shadow appears,
A tear rolls down my face and the image is clear.

When You Are Old (Veer Zara like)
(this poem nerrates the pangs of separation of two lovers, when,
she gets married forcebly to some else, yet her heart with him.............)

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of our soft look
Your eyes had once, and of the memories deep;
(this book means – this poem)
(dream of our soft look means – our sweet memories)

                    How many loved your moments of glad grace,
                   And loved your beauty with love false or true,
                   But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
                   And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
                          (pilgrim soul means – though she is married to someone else, her soul pilgrims around her most loved one)
                          (sorrows of changing face means – the pangs of separation from loved one getting married to some one else)

                   My hands have not touched pleasure since your hands, --
                   No, --- nor my lips freed laughter since ‘farewell’,
                   And with the day, distance again expands
                   Voiceless between us, as an uncoiled shell.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of our soft look
Your eyes had once, and of the memories deep;

                   How well her wishes went! She stroked my chin,
                   She taught me Turn, and Counter-turn, and stand;
                   She taught me Touch, that opened life from grim,
                   She taught me Laugh, to live and laugh, hand in hand.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of our soft look
Your eyes had once, and of the memories deep;

                    Her full lips pursed, the errant note to seize;
                    She played it quick, she played it light and loose;
                   My eyes, they dazzled at her flowing knees;
                   Her several parts could keep a pure repose,

                   Let seed be grass, and grass turn into hay:
                   I’m martyr to a motion of our own;
                  What’s freedom for? To know  eternity.
                  But who would count eternity in days?

                  Till then, lets live in Hope, for hope is a thing,
                 With feathers, that perches in the soul how to sing,
                 A tune without words, and never stops at all,
                 Never stop to live in hope, till we unite in all.

Old bones live to learn the wanton ways:
I measure time by how a body sways.
Of her choice virtues only gods should speak,
Or English poets who grew up on Greek
I’d have them sing in chorus, cheek to cheek.
(how a body sways means – die and meet in another life or in this life)

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of our soft look
Your eyes had once, and of the memories deep;

Stay yet A While
(Emotions of a man in solitude when his lady love dies and he holds her in hand and says.....)

Stay yet a while,
Speak to me once again,,
Kiss me so long , But as a kiss may last.
That kiss shall make all thoughts survive,
Like food for our sweet memory kept alive.

Stay back and speak again and again to my heart.
Stay yet a while, Stay yet a While …. …. ….

Romance in Rain forest...... getting wild, here you go.. a trip to Taman Safari, Indonesia

Romance in Rain forest...... getting wild, here you go...

An interesting place I went couple of weeks back “Taman Safari” in Indonesia. A well maintained wild- life safari (not a sanctuary). You can see the Komodo dragon, Cowboy show, oh, those lovely penguins from Antarctica among other tourist eye catchers.

Hmmmm.... the nature walk into the wild and beautiful equatorial rain forests which I can never forget. A must go place if you are a true nature lovers and in quest of tranquillity. The chirping of the birds, and the frisking branches and the giggling birds around you with the far away whooping waterfalls ....... I’m getting poetic here.....

Bye...

Different Ways to Change Management – “Knowing Yourself”

If you hold a leadership position, it is important to understand your nature and the way you choose to work as it has significant impact on your organization development, whether you know it or not. Are we separate from our organizations, as third party observers.  We have to quickly become an integral part of our Organization’s system -- the way the people and processes in the organization work with each other on a recurring basis. So much so, it is critical that you have a good understanding / Knowing of yourself, including your biases (we all have them), how you manage feedback and conflict, how you like to make decisions and solve problems, how you naturally view organizations, your skills as a change agent in the organization etc.

Different Ways to Change Management -- "Systems Thinking"

I have been observing the way Organizational change management through leadership has been taking shape for the past two decades. I have seen an explosion in the number of very useful tools to help change agents to effectively explore, understand and communicate about organizations, as well as to guide successful change in those organizations. Systems thinking is a major breakthrough, even if the change agent is not an expert about systems thinking, even a basic understanding can cultivate an entire new way of working.

Integrated Solutions a Business Value Driver & Enabler to HR

Business Value Drivers.

In business the only industry that matters you is your own industry. HR has to understand Business processes better than any other employee in the company deep knowledge, may it be a small, mid or large global enterprise.

People & Talent - Business Enablers

With the economic uncertainty present in today's markets, it's increasingly important to have visibility into your workforce – ensuring your company never misses an opportunity. Globalization and demographic changes exert pressure on companies to find, develop, and retain the best people and talent, while also reducing HR costs.

Use of best integrated enterprise applications for the people professionals called "The HR", help minimize costs, improve insight, improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and stream line some their cumbersome processes increasing your flexibility. And greatest of all a customizable solution enables you to carry out industry specific processes.

Hiring new employees is a multistage process that often involves several software applications and corporate departments. Applications must be reviewed and evaluated, candidates selected and interviewed, and new staff entered into the employer’s human resource and payroll administration software. Manual interfaces – in particular, transition points from paper documents to electronic systems – are notoriously slow and prone to error, compromising the integrity of data. Deploying an integrated software environment that encompasses all affected processes and data is therefore a high priority for enterprises with complex hiring requirements would be a valued scenario to drive business improvement.

The Solution

One such value scenario is to have a e-HR module which interactive forms links the recruitment function with the employee relations function. When candidate submits the application, the solution automatically parses the data internally reducing data entry time by 75%. When a job applicant has been accepted, the personal information is transferred from recruiting module to the human resources/controlling department, via a user-friendly, interactive electronic form that is automatically preloaded with the applicant’s information. Position-specific data may be added manually to generate the employment number. An automated work-flow generates a new employee master record in Records Management as well as a payroll record. Additional steps, such as health insurance registration etc., follow. With the exception of very few manual entries, the entire process should be automated. This basically helps in reducing the paper flow to almost zero. Data quality improves dramatically. The availability of accurate, reliable applicant data and automated processes will definitely lower our cost of hiring. The hiring managers can view the status of candidates as and when they need. When a candidate accepts a position, the date of joining is fed into the system. Thus e-HR module should be an end-to-end, enterprise-wide process for talent management and one that speeds the time-to-fill process for open positions, reduces recruitment costs and drive business improvement and has better resource management abilities.

The Experience

As a Senior HR professional, I have been associated with one such solution for more than 8 years and having worked closely in designing and customizing HR needs with our internal projects team I have achieved better results through "SAP - HR". In early 2000 when the SAP fire was fast catching up in Hyderabad, India, I was one of the fortunate HR professional to have already been a super user trained with hands on in house experience. I was approached by several local SAP training Institutions to teach their students SAP HR modules during week ends. Added to this, I have been an active Interviewer in hiring HR functional professional consultants in SAP area in the organizations I have worked. Today, I have been invited by a leading global publisher to author a book on "Interview Questions - SAP HR".
